Terms of Service
Effective date: October 29, 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and the online Maryland notary education course offered by NTSI Corporation ("NTSI," "we," "us"). A1 Notary Center is an NTSI brand. By creating an account or using the course, you agree to these terms.
About the course
The course is an online, self-paced Maryland notary education course that takes about 3 hours to complete. It is educational only and does not include state application or clerk fees.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to enroll. You are responsible for confirming that you meet the Maryland requirements to become a notary public.
Your account
Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Your account is for you alone. Do not share your login or let anyone else take the course for you. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Course access
After enrolling, you can access the course online from any device with an internet connection. We may update course content to reflect changes in law or to improve it. We work to keep the course available but do not promise uninterrupted access.
Payment and refunds
The course price is shown at checkout and is payable in full when you enroll. You may receive a full refund any time before you finish the course. Once you have completed the course, the fee is not refundable. To request a refund, email support@a1notarycenter.com.
Exam and certificate
The course ends with a final exam. When you complete the course and pass the exam, you will receive a certificate of completion. We may verify your identity during the course. Your certificate reflects course completion only.
Academic honesty
You must complete all coursework and the exam yourself, without help from another person. We may revoke a certificate, end your access without a refund, or report the matter as required if we find cheating, identity fraud, or misuse of the course.
No guarantee of commission
Completing the course does not guarantee that you will be appointed or commissioned as a Maryland notary public. Appointment decisions are made by the State of Maryland, and you must meet all state requirements, submit your application, pay state fees, and take your oath.
Intellectual property
All course materials, text, images, videos, and logos belong to NTSI or its licensors. You may use them only for your personal study. You may not copy, share, sell, or distribute them without our written permission.
Disclaimers
The course is provided for educational purposes and is not legal advice. We work to keep it accurate and current, but laws change, and the course is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent allowed by law. Always follow current Maryland law and Secretary of State guidance.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, NTSI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or course. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the course.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. Your continued use of the course after a change means you accept the updated terms.
